Team Cycling Challenge
The ever popular 72km and 36km Team Cycling Challenge returns with the unique handicapping system based on age and gender.

Eligibility
The 72km Team Cycling Challenge is open to all cyclists 17 years and over in the calendar year of the event (born 2002 or earlier). The 36km Team Cycling Challenge is open to all cyclists 15 years and over in the calendar year of the event (born 2004 or earlier). Discounted entry is available for all Cycling Australia (CA) members. To obtain Cycling Australia (CA) Membership click here.
Team Composition
The Team Cycling Challenge will comprise of 4 (minimum) to 6 (maximum) riders.
The team time will be taken from the third rider to cross the line.

Bikes without time trial bars - all team bikes do not have time trial bars
Handicap System
Team Cycling Challenge (72km)
The times will be adjusted on the basis of the following:
A team will be eligible for a 4 minute time deduction for each female rider in a team
A team will be eligible for a 2 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 50 years
A team will be eligible for a 4 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 60 years
A team will be eligible for a 6 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 70 years
A team will be eligible for a 10 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 80 years
Team Cycling Challenge (36km)
The times will be adjusted on the basis of the following:
A team will be eligible for a 2 minute time deduction for each female rider in a team
A team will be eligible for a 1 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 50 years or under the age of 17 years
A team will be eligible for a 2 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 60 years or under the age of 15 years
A team will be eligible for a 3 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 70 years
A team will be eligible for a 5 minute time deduction for each rider over the age of 80 years
Note: The handicapping deductions will be determined from the age of the rider at the end of the calendar year of the event (31 December).
Prizes
Prizes will be available for the winner based on overall fastest time and handicap for each of the Team Cycling Challenge categories for both the 72km and 36km events.
